Job Overview:

The Information Technology Professional focuses on maintaining FeraDyne’s technology infrastructure, including staff workstations, cloud-based systems, and related components. Their focus is on maintaining FeraDyne’s technology infrastructure, including staff workstations, cloud-based systems, and related components. They are responsible to train internal and external end users, develop processes, and create educational resources to support technology systems.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Support the IT Director in performing day-to-day IT Department activities.

  • Provides end-user support and troubleshooting for personnel.  Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of local area network hardware, as well as firewall administration.
  •  
  • Responds in a timely fashion to end users’ needs and concerns relating to computer business application and general systems issues.
  •  
  • Provides first-line support for all software and hardware.
  •  
  • Works IT Director in designing technical systems and architecture.
  •  
  • Handles multiple project responsibilities simultaneously to prioritize work and resolve technical emergencies as they may occur.
  •  
  • Protects the organization by keeping information confidential.
  •  
  • Performs additional task as assigned by IT Director.
  •  
  • Setup users in Active Directory, Office 365 and hosted VOIP.
  •  
  • Performs day-to-day maintenance of network servers (backups, administration, hardware maintenance).
  •  
  • Maintains logs for software and firmware updates, service contract, support contracts and passwords.
  •  
  • Act as primary liaison to managed services vendor, responding to escalated helpdesk requests when appropriate and providing input related to Software as a Service (SaaS), backup, and client workstation maintenance.
  •  
  • Administer SharePoint intranet and extranet environments.
  •  
  • Understand disaster recovery plan, monitor, and test integrity of backup systems.
  •  
  • Utilize physical, procedural, technical, and compliance controls to maintain security of FeraDyne’s information systems and data.
  •  
  • Manage software licenses and accounts.
  •  
  • Procure, setup, and configure new or replacement workstation equipment for all staff.
  •  
  • Maintain accurate hardware and software inventory.
  •  
  • Maintain awareness of upcoming changes to SaaS platforms that may impact internal or external end user experiences.
  •  
  • Work with project stakeholders to design and deliver systems customized to meet complex requirements.
  •  
  • Provide training, coaching, and support to internal and external end users of assigned technology systems.
  •  
  • Document processes and workflows.
  •  
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Bachelor or Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science or information technology related field, or two to five years of work experience with enterprise level technology solutions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to administer Microsoft Azure AD environment, including Microsoft Endpoint Manager.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft cloud technology including Microsoft 365, Azure, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
  •  
  • Strong knowledge and ability to support Microsoft Office applications.
  •  
  • Ability to develop scripts or utilize tools that reduce manual work (e.g., Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365 Compliance Policies).
  •  
  • Experience utilizing tools to access or troubleshoot remote systems.
  •  
  • Network knowledge sufficient to liaison with internet service provider. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.
  •  
  • Knowledge of identity and access management discipline and related concepts.
  •  
  • Experience utilizing VoIP solutions and online meeting platforms.
  •  
  • Customer service and detail oriented.
  •  
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.

Work Environment

The IT Professional will work primarily in an office setting either on site at the Superior, WI office location with the ability to work from home as needed.

Some projects or responses to outages require work outside of normal business hours.
