I bought my Pile Driver too late foe last Deer Season. I have gotten the pleasure of hunting hogs with it though. 3 hogs, 3 down. Blew through ribs on both sides of a 120 lb sow found the bolt in a hardwood stump 25 yards past where it hit the hog! Used 125 grain Rage Hypodermic on the Pile Driver Bolt on that one. Next took out both shoulders on a smaller pig using Pile Driver Bolt with 150 Grain Swacker. Fantastic accuracy out to the 75 yards I have tested it. The only reason for a 4 Star instead of a 5 Star is the scope is impossible to get a clear view through. I have been able to use it successfully despite the blurred view. My only changes were silencers and dampeners with a new scope before next deer season. I just helped a close friend order his own!
This is a real smoker! Accurate, easy to use, and the crank is a lifesaver, having bad shoulders. Love this Xbow!
I owned a Tenpoint Titan crossbow for the last four years and im glad i switched to a Carbon Express Piledriver. So fast and so accurate and ultra narrow. Wish it came with a decal and. Bigger quiver and limb dampeners for the limbs to match but ill can get them but for the money best out on the market.
Ok, shot my new 390 tonight at my crossbow bag. WOW is this thing fast. Not only is it fast I was shooting piledriver bolts with 100g practice tip into my crossbow bag which is a good 8" thick and it stripped the fletching off the bolt as it went completely through the bag from 30 yards. HOLY CRAP!! I am going to have to go to the range and shoot into their targets if they will stop this thing. I upgraded the scope to a Hammers scope because everyone said scope was on the cheap side, but I don't see anything wrong with the factory scope, though I already have a new Hammers so I put it on anyways. I have to say this bow is quiet for the speed and power it delivers. Yea there is some noise but for the speed and energy its releasing its acceptable as is factory. The crank cocker is slickest I have ever seen, makes cocking the bow breeze. One downfall with the cocker is you have to have the stock set all the way up in order for the rope to be long enough to reach. Makes the bow a little short pull but is workable. Carbon Express has won me over on the quality for the money. I looked at all the new crossbows released this year and just can't see the value on a 800-1400.00 crossbow compared to the piledriver 390. This bow should be priced way higher than it is if you do side by side comparison with other more expensive bows. I am impressed to say the least with it. Can't wait to go to the woods with it this year. Way to deliver Feradyne!!!
