Rocky Mountain Warhead
- 2 Blade Expandable
- 100 Grain
- Aluminum Ferrule
- .035 Blades
- 1 3/4" Cutting Diameter
- Jackknife Blade Deployment
- 3 Pack
The Rocky Mountain Warhead features an aluminum ferrule with a 1.75-inch cutting diameter and a cut-on-contact tip blade design that starts working the instant it makes contact. The Warhead’s jackknife blade-deployment system will not open until the blades have made full contact with the animal, making broadside and even angled shots more deadly. With its aluminum ferrule and durable 0.035-inch-thick stainless steel blades, the new Rocky Mountain Warhead slices through hide and soft tissue on contact, yet it has the strength and sharpness to bust through bone.

Overall a great broadhead. The cut on contact head if effective does cutting hide but strong enough to bust bone. They don’t deflect on quartering away shots, that’s a huge plus. Wide cut when deployed helps ensure a quick, clean, kill. Flies very true to field tips. Very economical, one of the best on the market.
I picked up these broadheads maybe a month before the season opener with the hopes of finding some time to test them out. I'm a huge buff on testing all my equipment before trying on a live animal as any hunter should be. But time got away from me and this past Friday I actually got a chance to go hunting. So I was able to take a nice doe and it performed flawlessly. Keep in mind I had never shot these before. All I knew was that my bow shot accurately with the field points and they claimed that these flew the same. Well it must, cause they nailed a 32yd heart shot!! Thanks for a great product. By the way, I was using rage hypodermics, now all I'm using is these bad boys.
I bought these heads as I like to test and try new products. I bought these at the very reasonable cost for 3 heads. Upon shooting them I was very impressed with the accuracy and flight. They hit in the same hole as my field point the shot before. They opened nicely on contact with the target and penetration on my block target was great. I used to shoot Rocky Mountain broadheads in the 90's and they were always some of my favorite heads. At the cost of these they are a steal. Final test will be on a live animal hopefully in the fall, which would ultimately change my review to 5 stars.
