REVIEWS
Not sure why my last review isn’t up. I first got a RM 405. First use 2 limbs delaminated. They sent replacement limbs. I had them replaced. 2nd use same issue. Their suggestion was to send me this RM 370 which is $150 cheaper than what I bought the 405 for. I got the 370. First use. Same result. Threw it in the trash. Don’t use these are dangerous
Well a long story, but I started out with a RM 405. sighted it in no problem. (scope sucks, but worked enough). first time in the stand cock the bow and in the dark sit waiting for first light. 20 min later I hear a big creak on the crossbow. still dark I thought maybe it was just settling. once light I noticed 2 of the 4 limbs had delaminated. so I had to end the hunt as I don't think that's safe to shoot that way. I called and they sent 4 new limbs. I had them installed at an archery store. shot it 1 time and it was still sighted in. Went out in the stand cocked it and 15 minutes later same thing except this time 3 of the 4 limbs delaminated. I called they passed me to a supervisor that was very rude. his suggestion was to send it back and they would send me the RM 370 as that supposedly has fewer issues. See Feradyne doesn't make these they get shipped to them from the maker already powercoated and they can't even inspect them that way. I ask what they are going to do to make up the $100 price difference he says they will send me accessories to make up more than the difference. He says he will have to new one to me in 2 days if I send him the tracking number for sending the 405 back. I sent him the tacking number 20 minutes later. I get the RM 370 5 days later and no response from him to any of my emails directly to him asking where it was and when it would show up. So I put the RM 370 together. First shot at a target 1 limb delaminated. needless to say I threw it in the trash and will never buy from this company again. See because they had me change out limbs the first time. I could no longer return it to where I purchased because it didn't have the original serial number on it anymore. so they ruined my chance and getting a refund and I was done messing with these guys. Be careful if you decide to get one of these. they are not safe and someone is going to get hurt or killed using them.
I bought this bow with low expectations, after all it's a $250 crossbow. But after receiving it and giving it a try I am quite pleased with it, especially at this price point.
Fit and finish is not absolutely perfect, but still quite good for a product in this price range. Assembly was very simple. The aluminum barrel is a well made extrusion. The trigger is definitely vague compared to a rifle or a high end bow, but it's still quite usable. It shoots smoothly and is fairly quiet. I found out the hard way that shooting a bow this fast definitely requires a good target after stripping fletchings from my first bolt that blew straight through the target. This thing is FAST!
Accuracy is quite good at 50 yards, and I did destroy one bolt out of three with a robin hood hit.
My only gripe is the scope. The optics are very poor quality with lots of edge distortion and both turrets on mine are labeled for adjusting left to right. It is still usable, and the reticle is pretty solid. It's a freebie really, so I can't complain too much, but a vortex or nightforce it isn't. Personally I'd much rather pay $10 less for this package without the scope.
All in all it's a lot of bow for the money and I am very pleased with my purchase.
