AX440
$2,099.99
At a maneuverable, stable and easily shouldered 30.5-inches long and less than 12-inches axle-to-axle (cocked) the weight of the AX440 is centered over the shooter’s hand by way of a balanced shoot-through stock and riser design and reverse limb system. This configuration empowers the most efficient part of the split limb system from just 15 inches of power stroke to launch bolts at 440 feet-per-second. When combined, the proprietary cam system’s features center the string to move along the same plane throughout the entire power stroke. Unlike the one-piece aluminum rail concepts of conventional crossbow designs that rob speed, efficiency and bolt life, the stock of the AX440 also eliminates the rail and utilizes dual carbon guide rods along the entire length of the stock. When combined with a shoot through riser and a tunable roller rest these features create a free-floating arrow system that minimizes contact, friction and torque along the arrow’s entire path. The result; greater efficiency, accuracy and speed output. The AX440 also puts to work the proven small diameter 19-inch (.166 I.D.) bolt system to produce extreme accuracy, durability, penetration and safety. The interaction between the bolt’s premium aluminum capture nock system and the bow’s string create an audible sound to note full connection and preparation to interface with the trigger system for unprecedented safety.

Solid crossbow, however the scope wasn’t worth much. Installed a Vortex right away. It shot practice tips fine. Then I tried to shoot broadheads. The Rage didn’t seem to hit accurate so I tried Ramcats. The same grain broadheads as the practice tips hit way high. I had to click 28 clicks down and finally hit pretty accurate at 20,30 and 40 yards. I hope the string holds up. Probably shot 50 bolts. Serving doesn’t look the best even using string wax/conditioner for crossbow string.
Extremely Fast and very balanced crossbow. Costs way lower than competitors and has better top of the line features! Highly recommend!
This is my third crossbow purchase. All are different brands. This Axe 440 is hands down the Cadillac of my arsenal. Wow, you pull the trigger and you just hear the bolt hit the target, it’s that fast! It was super easy to add the scope and accessories right out of the box and within 4 shots following the manual, I was putting bolts within an inch of each other at 80 yards! I added a Rage Broadhead and went to kansas the next day and shot a beautiful whitetail at 15 yards. The bolt blew through him and the rage zipped him open with a 2” cut…..he didn’t go far! Can’t wait to shoot it more, a lot of fun!
This is a top tier crossbow. I am amazed at the technology that is in it. The weight is evenly distributed which makes the weight manageable. I have not shot it much but from what I have seen it is quiet and fast! 440 FPS is fast! Cons: Lack of extra arrows available during hunting season which are a necessity! If I could suggest one major change make the crank removeable and the ability to store it on the bow. Overall very pleased with the bow!

I got the crossbow to use for turkey season and my kids. I’ve never used a crossbow but have been around, looked at and handled (never shot) many before. I was very pleased with the scope ballistic dots and it made for sighting it in a snap. It only took me about 12 arrows to get dialed in from 10yards to 40 yards. The only issue I had right away was understanding that it needs to be in safe mode to full attached the draw strap to the bow string in order to pull it back AND seat the bolt. Once I figured that out, I got it everytime. Easy to shoot, comfortable. I really like the integrated quiver.
