I've been able to press several types of bows now from solo cams to split limb beyond parallels and the press is great. Takes a little getting used too. Set up time can be tough at first, but once you do a couple it goes smoother. Can't beat the price. My bow dealer's $800 press wouldn't hold my bow and kept dropping it out, scratching the limb. This is why I work on my own now and this has been great.
This press is actually a top of the line piece of equipment at a price that can NOT be beat anywhere else. So far I have changed strings on bows from the modern paralleled limb style to a couple of straight limb bows from the 1980's. This one press handles everything I own, and then some BUT the reason for three stars as my rating is the powder coat finish is too thick to allow assembley of most parts.
I spent my first 5 hours with this press carefully filing holes, tubes, and arms.
The other small issue is the cheap as dirt hydraulic pump jack... wile it does work to some degree, I would never trust it with my bows or my fingers.
So with a new $39.99 jack, and a few hours of filing / sanding you will own one of the most versatile bow presses available for under $220.00.
Everything else about this press is 100% top shelf. Solid, stable, compact by design, and beautifully simple to operate.
I do highly recommend this machine to anyone that wants to put a little effort into the final fit, and finish because you can NOT find any other press that does work on as many different types of bows for anywhere near the price.
Bottom line... Design, and versatility, 5*****
fit, and finish, 0*****.
Overall I am quite happy to pay 220.00 for this machine.
Very pleased, just what I wanted at an excellent price.
For the price it just can't be beat/
